Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Tag. By using the service, you represent that you meet this requirement and are legally capable of agreeing to these Terms.

Tag helps adults discover and connect with other people nearby who have chosen to make themselves Available.

Tag may display estimated proximity or walking time based on location information. These estimates may be delayed, approximate, or inaccurate and should not be relied upon for safety-critical purposes.

You are responsible for providing accurate account and profile information and for maintaining the security of your account.

You may not impersonate another person, create an account using information you are not authorized to use, or allow another person to misuse your account.

Nearby discovery is opt-in. Choosing to become Available allows Tag to use your location to make you discoverable to eligible nearby users.

While you are Available, Tag may use background location so your position remains current when the application is not visible on screen.

You can stop participating at any time by selecting End Availability or changing applicable device permissions.

Tag does not guarantee that location information, distance estimates, walking times, or another user's displayed availability are exact or current at every moment.

Tag allows users to express interest in connecting through features such as Tags, mutual Tags, and Waves.

Tag does not guarantee that another user will respond, meet you, behave appropriately, or accurately represent themselves.

You are responsible for deciding whether, when, and how to communicate with or meet another person.

Interacting with people you do not know involves inherent risk. Exercise reasonable judgment when communicating with or meeting another Tag user.

Tag does not conduct or guarantee background checks, identity verification, criminal-history screening, professional credential verification, or other verification of users unless we explicitly state otherwise.

Tag is not an emergency service. If you are in danger or require emergency assistance, contact appropriate local emergency services.

You may not use Tag to harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, defraud, exploit, or harm another person; impersonate another person; facilitate illegal activity; distribute malicious software; interfere with the service; attempt to gain unauthorized access to another user's information; scrape, harvest, or systematically collect user information; circumvent blocking or safety controls; falsify location information for abusive or deceptive purposes; or use Tag in a way that violates applicable law.

We may investigate suspected misuse and restrict or terminate accounts when reasonably necessary to protect users, Tag, or the integrity of the service.

You retain ownership of content you submit to Tag, including profile information and photographs.

By submitting content, you grant Tag a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and process that content as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, and provide the service.

You represent that you have the rights necessary to submit the content you provide.

Tag may provide tools to hide, block, and report users. We may review reports and take actions we consider reasonably appropriate, including limiting features, removing content, suspending accounts, or terminating accounts.

We are not obligated to resolve disputes between users.

You may permanently delete your account through Tag's Settings.

Account deletion may remove your profile and associated personal information subject to limited retention permitted or required for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, or protection of the service.

Tag and its software, branding, design, logos, and other proprietary materials are owned by Tag or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

These Terms give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use Tag for its intended purposes.

Tag may change, suspend, discontinue, or modify features of the service. We do not guarantee that Tag will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Parts of Tag rely on third-party platforms and service providers. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control, and their own terms or policies may apply.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Tag and its owners, affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the service or your interactions with other users.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

You may stop using Tag at any time.

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to Tag if we reasonably believe an account violates these Terms, creates risk for other users, compromises the service, or must be restricted to comply with law.

We may update these Terms as Tag changes. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where required. Continued use after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

These Terms will be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
